Privacy Policy

Who we are
Partager is a money app for couples and small families, with a website at partager.me and the app at app.partager.me. This policy covers both.
Partager is operated by IAGO BELO DE OLIVEIRA VIEIRA DESENVOLVIMENTO DE SOFTWARE, a Brazilian company with CNPJ 38.009.261/0001-45 ("we"), the data controller under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13.709/2018). For anything about your data, write to contato@partager.me.
The waitlist
Only the email address you type into the waitlist, the language of the page and which form you used, along with the sign-up date. We use it to tell you when Partager opens and to send launch news, based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); Art. 7, I, of Brazil's LGPD), which you can withdraw at any time.
We never sell your email or use it for third-party advertising. Our hosting provider logs technical access data, such as IP address and browser, for security and for a limited time.
Your account
Sign-in is handled by Clerk. It keeps your name, your email and the sign-in method you choose (a password, an email code or a Google account, for example); we receive only your name, your email and an account identifier. We never see your password.
Your name is shown to the people in your household. The legal basis is performing the service you signed up for when you created the account (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); Art. 7, V, of Brazil's LGPD).
Your household
We keep the household's name, currency and time zone, who belongs to it and with which role, and the invites, which are valid for 7 days and work only once.
Dependents are labels you create to organize expenses (a child, a pet): we keep only the name you give and the kind. It can be a nickname. We collect no other data about them.
Your Pix key is optional. If you add one, the people in your household see it when it is time to settle up, so they know where to send the money. Partager makes no transfers.
Expenses, settlements and cycles
For each expense we keep the amount, currency, date, description, category, who paid, how it was split, the dependent, the installments or recurrence and, if there is one, the receipt. We also keep the settlements you record and each month's closing.
Shared expenses are seen by everyone in the household, because the balance belongs to both of you. Expenses marked "Only I can see this" are seen only by you and never count towards the balance: that rule is enforced on the server, not just on screen.
When a month closes, the result becomes a record of closed cycles that is never rewritten: corrections made later go in as adjustments to the open month. That is what lets you both trust the history.
AI reading of expenses
In the app, when you tap "Read with AI" or send a photo or PDF of a receipt, the text you typed or the receipt is sent to an AI to read the expense. Only that goes, together with today's date, the household's currency and language, the list of categories and your partner's first name; never emails, identifiers or other expenses. The AI only suggests the fields: nothing is saved until you check and confirm it.
The request goes through OpenRouter, which routes it to the model, and the model is Anthropic's (Claude). On every read we require zero-data-retention servers that neither keep the content nor use it to train models.
The receipt photo or PDF is stored in Convex with the expense: whoever sees the expense sees the receipt, and on "Only I can see this" expenses, only you. Deleting the expense deletes the receipt, and a receipt that never became an expense is deleted within 24 hours. The legal basis is performing the service you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); Art. 7, V, of Brazil's LGPD).
Errors and usage measurement
We use Sentry to learn when the website or the app fails, so we can fix it. Error reports carry no IP address, cookies, form contents, emails, names, amounts or descriptions: these are removed before sending. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service working (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); Art. 7, IX, of Brazil's LGPD).
We use Mixpanel, with data stored in the European Union, to understand how Partager is used, for example how many expenses are created from free text. Events never include amounts of money, descriptions, names, emails or Pix keys, and no session is ever recorded.
On the website, Mixpanel only runs after you accept, and you can change your mind at any time under "Privacy preferences" in the footer. In the app, it relies on our legitimate interest in improving the product, and you can turn it off under Household, Privacy, "Send anonymous usage data".
Who we share it with
With the people in your household: shared expenses, settlements, your name and, if you add it, your Pix key. Nothing marked "Only I can see this".
And with the processors that make the service work, which handle the data solely on our behalf: Clerk, for sign-in; Convex, where the waitlist, the app's data and receipts are stored; Vercel, which hosts the website and the app; Sentry, for errors; Mixpanel, for usage measurement; and, for AI reading, OpenRouter and Anthropic. When Partager Plus starts being charged, the payment processor will be listed here before the first charge.
These services may be located outside your country. Any international transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
The waitlist email, for as long as you want launch news; if you ask to leave, we delete it within 30 days. Account and household data, for as long as the account exists.
To delete your account, write to contato@partager.me from the account's email address. Within 15 days we delete your account at Clerk and in our systems, your "Only I can see this" expenses, your Pix key, your usage data in Mixpanel and the receipts of those expenses. Shared expenses and settlements you recorded remain in the household's history, because they also belong to the other people in it; only your name stays on them. If you are the last person in the household, the whole household is deleted.
Error reports are kept in Sentry for up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask whether we process your data, access it, correct it, have it deleted or ported (we send you a file with your data), withdraw consent and object to processing. Just write to contato@partager.me; we answer within 15 days.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD).
Security
Data always travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). On the server every request is checked: only members of a household read its data, and "Only I can see this" expenses are only ever returned to the person who created them.
No one on our team looks at your expenses, except when you ask for help with something specific or to fix a fault, and then only what is needed.
Children
The app is for people aged 18 or over. We collect no data directly from children: a dependent is just a name the parent chooses to organize the household's expenses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email and in the app at least 30 days in advance, and the "Last updated" date above always shows the version in force.
